Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated clerk to join the Individual Training Wing (ITW). The role carries a broad range of administrative and clerical support tasks, to support a fast growing and demanding unit. You will need to be able to work in a high tempo environment, with the capability to deliver at pace to an experienced team. As clerk, you will have responsibility for the smooth running of the units administrative and clerical duties. You will also provide admin support to the wider team, which will include course administration along with booking travel and accommodation.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week
Job description
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Basic office management and clerical responsibilities (including answering telephones, emailling and information management, filing)
Carry out the booking and reconciliation o all travel and accommodation for personnel
Monitor all stationery requirements, ensure sufficient stock held
Input and manage data between various systems including ModNET
Update JPA and assist personnel when completing personal administration, including assisting with the arrival process of military personnel and conducting management checks
Manage administration of courses, including collection of return sheets, creation of nominal roll and preparation of course materials
Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of bookings and courses
Administare pay and allowances as needed
Assist ITW sections with course administration and student support
Assist in the preparation and delivery of the Annual G1 Audit inspections
Carry out any other reasonable tasks commensurate with grade as directed by line management
The successful applicant will be required to undertake the below training within 6 months of joining:

Strong organisational skills.
Excellent IT skills, including word-processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheets.
