About the role Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Supply Chain, and playing a key part of the Supply Chain Leadership Team, our Brewery Director is the pivotal role across the Herefordshire Operations (Cider Production at Hereford and Cider Mill & Orchards at Ledbury), as we continue to raise the bar to meet global HEINEKEN world class ambitions, where continuous improvement; TPM (Total Productive Management), benchmarking, standards/good practice implementation are fundamental. This role has a large budget and people responsibilities which span across all departments in the brewery e.g., Production (Utilities, Cider Production, Packaging, Quality, Engineering/Maintenance), Logistics (Warehousing and Transport) and staff-functions (HR, Finance). We expect supportive leadership over control, and you will use your coaching and mentoring experience to create innovative ways to support the site teams to thrive and work more productively and effectively. A major focus for this role is the drive for world class manufacturing, you’ll develop and implement an integrated supply chain strategy and plan for the Herefordshire sites (production and Cider logistics), including forthcoming capex and improvement projects, in line with supply chain plans. Who we’re looking for For this role, we’re looking for someone with the ability to manage a complex business platform. Part of this will include your ability to connect and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at every level. Multitasking, agility and resilience is key. Having already been in charge of significant change programmes yourself, you’ll have both the technical and management abilities to steer an operational site through change initiatives, inspiring others to achieve great results. You’ll have experience in developing, maintaining and delivering a 3-5 year operational site/production plan, including one-year objectives and gap to fill, in line with the local, national and regional objectives. To put it simply we are looking for an experienced senior leader with recognised qualifications, however, what is more, important to us is your operational leadership and people management skills and experience with similar complexity and size. Knowledge around supply chain, FMCG (food & drink) & Brewing/Cider Production would be advantageous, and a proven track record of managing senior leaders is essential. Your can-do attitude and enthusiasm will be warmly welcomed, and your problem-solving skills will be put to good use.
